Swans, Lochan na Stainge

I have to admit that this shot was largely accidental. I'd set up the camera envisaging a panoramic shot of Lochan na Stainge receding towards the mountains on the southern edge of Rannoch Moor. The camera mirror was locked up and I was standing back about to trip the shutter when this group of swans flew from behind me and round in front of the camera. I didn't have time to look through the viewfinder, so I pressed the remote release when I guessed that the birds were just before the middle of the frame. The slow shutter speed has given a soft edge to the moving birds which I think fits well against the softly lit landscape which I have accentuated with a soft overlay.
